Please come back often to find out what the different ensembles are doing, how
your student is getting along with the class that
he/she is in, and even to find
out about the faculty that is helping your student to grow musically.
For your convenience we have built the menu at the left to cover most of the things that you might be interested in.
Last year we went to Santa Clara and tore it up. The Symphonic band pulled
an 88% on their performance while the vocal jazz ensembles pulled
off a 1st and 2nd in their division with Rio NYN bringing home the
Sweepstakes/Unanimous Superior trophy for their performance earning a 98%.
Where
are we going this year?
Disney - Anaheim.
All three of the groups passed their auditions to
perform in Disneyland this year via the Disney Performing Arts program.
They will also be doing
recording workshops. The Symphonic Band and 'nightwind will perform on May
4 at the Plaza Gardens Pavillion. Rio NYN will perform in
California Adventure on May 5, 2012.
Also, Rio NYN will be competing at a national level at the Disney Jazz
Celebration the weekend of February 24, 2012 in Anaheim.
